What am I ranked?
This is always the burning question amongst players so if you think you are asking a dumb question you are not because everyone asks this question. The first question to ask yourself is "Have I ever played a National Tournament Series?". There are 2 National Tournaments - NPPL and PSP. Due to the recent dissolution of the NPPL and the start up of the recent USPL though, some player rankings will have to be handled on a player-to-player basis. However, if you played the NPPL and/or PSP then what ever your ranking is with those leagues will be you ranking with the GPL (whichever ranking is higher takes precedence). We make every effort to reserch players current rankings and reserch player history's however, it is ultimatly the players responsibility to make sure they are ranked properly in PAINTBALLid.com. If you have never played a National Tournament Series, then you are ranked D3. D3 is the Rookie Division for those new to tournaments and competitive paintball. D2 is the Novice divison, D1 is the Amateur division. After that there is Semi Pro and Pro divisions. Players who are ranked Semi Pro and Pro are not allowed to participate in the 3man, 5man and 7man divisions.
If you are sitll not sure what your current ranking is, please visit PAINTBALLid.com to see the break down of each classification.

What is the purpose of the ID system?
The PAINTBALLid.com system has been designed to provide a means of verifying a player's identity and event participation history. This allows us to track a player's history and experience level to ensure that all players are playing in the appropriate divisions. This prevents what most people refer to in the paintball industry as "sand-bagging".
